A: When running in standard mode, a full battery charge can last up to ten (10) days or more in motion-only mode.

A: The sentryGPSid™ device is dependant upon 2 technologies - GPS and cell phone. Anywhere you can receive both a GPS signal and cell phone reception, the sentryGPSid™ will work.

Q: How Accurate Is The sentryGPSid Child & Adult Locator?

A: Depending on conditions, the mapped location provided by the sentryGPSid™ child locator is typically accurate within 3 meters. However, as with any wireless device, certain environmental factors can impede the device's performance and reduce the accuracy.

Q: Is The sentryGPSid™ Tracker Waterproof?

A: The sentryGPSid™ tracking device is water resistant.

Q: How big is the sentryGPSid™? Can I fit it in my child's backpack or pocket?

A: The sentryGPSid™ device is just slightly larger than a 9-volt battery, so it easily fits in most pants and shirt pockets as well as many other places. The sentryGPSid™ can also be easily afixed directly to a belt with the included pouch.

Q: Has the sentryGPSid™ ever been successfully used to locate a missing person?

A: YES! We have several documented cases of customers using our GPS device and web portal to successfully locate their loved ones.

Q: Can I rent a sentryGSPid™ before I buy one?

A: YES! We have a rental program for as little as $4 per day.

 

 

Q: Can I Track Multiple Devices Through The Same Account On The Webportal?

A: Yes. You can register a virtually limitless number of sentryGPSid devices on your account and select whether to view just one device, multiple devices, or all of your devices at once.

Q: If I Have Multiple Devices Registered With My Account, How Do I Know Which Device Is Which?

A: Each device is individually color-coded so you can see at a glance which device is which. Additionally, when you rollover any location point on the map an information bubble will display giving you the name associated with the device, the longitude, lattitude, address, and the time and date of when the location was reported.

Q: Is the SentryGPS webportal compatible with my internet browser?

A: The following browser versions are supported: Internet Explorer 7, Firefox 2 and 3, Safari for Leopard. Internet Explorer 6 is not compatible.
